Flud for Windows Phone now in Marketplace
One of the biggest knocks Windows Phone receives when comparing it to iOS or Android is the number of apps. Yeah, we know quantity doesn’t equal quality, but to most people that point falls on deaf ears. I’d rather have a few good quality apps for the platform than a million fart apps, and who wouldn’t?
So it’s refreshing when young start-up like companies embrace the platform and bring a Windows Phone version of their product. Flud is a social news reader that was just released earlier today into the Marketplace. To be fair I didn’t know anything about them before downloading the app, but so far I’m liking the social aspect of a news reader. In terms of design Flud feels at home on your Windows Phone, big beautiful images, pinning portions of the app to your home screen, and more. You can follow what your friends read and connect over similar interests. Performance could be better. While the images are being downloaded it can get a little sluggish on my HTC Radar, but for a first step on Windows Phone I can’t wait to see it improve.
